Carnaza Island..

Last Holy Week, I have spend my vacation in Carnaza Island, situated and adjacent to Malapascua island, actually Carnaza is unknown and untouch to everybody but you got it wrong. The island offers a serene and simple island life. No resort, No electricity, No party or whatsoever.. What makes this island special? Its the fresh air, fresh seafood for a cent, your very own private beach (kay ikaw raman usa maligo) and of course the people. Former Cebu governor Lito OsmeƱa, settle on this island he had his private airport, seaport and a resort.

How to get there:
1. From Cebu North Bus Terminal, catch a Maya bound bus (same bus bound for malapascua). P80
2. Enjoy a 130km around 3-4hours travel.
3. Drop off Brgy. Tapilon, its a small seaport for motorbangca bound for Carnaza. P50
4. For 1hour and 30mins you will be able to chill carnaza!

From mournin' to chillin'..

'Twas late August last year, right after the death of my father, I decided to go to Boracay together with some family members. I think going there would somehow ease the pain and forgot reality.. Its my 2nd time in there, same place, same party, same food, same beer, and yes its "temporarily" FUN!

**How to get there, the cheapest way and the adventurer mode..
1. From Cebu City go to South Bus terminal ride a Bacolod bound Ceres Bus (300+ fare) watch out for the 8 hour land trip! Get ready with your mp3 player, portable dvd player or anything that makes fun during the travel..
2. When your in Bacolod, take a taxi going to the pier. Catch a fastcraft bound for Iloilo (200+fare) sea travel takes 45mins to 1hour..
3. When your in Iloilo, take a taxi going to the bus terminal bound for Katiklan (300+ fare) 4-5 hours trip :)
4. When in your in Katiklan, take a jetty bound for Boracay and there you go! (30 fare)
5. A lot of resort to choose from.. from a 500 to 10k range..

** How to get there, the fastest and expensive way...
1. Go to Mactan Airport, onboard Sea Air or Asian Spirit bound for Katiklan (around 3-4k one way fare)
2. Follow step 4 to 5 above and your ready to go!

Enjoy your stay in BORA!

Latagaw in Siargao..

Whats with Siargao? Its just the surfing capital of the Philippines.. so what? (hehehe) Sometime ago I was invited with my singapore based friend (wilmar) to have a vacation in Siargao, so for the heck of it and without second thoughts I have packed my bag and said YES! Im not a beach bum nor a nature lover, I just go for the camaraderie and fun and of course the booze (thats exites me duh).. well its a long way to go and overnight seatravel to surigao, then a 2 hour fast craft to siargao island.. so exhausted! Yes the place is great and waves so HUGE.. and t'was fun at all! But next time around when somebody ask's me to go to siargao.. heres my answer.. NO THANKS! hahaha for a personal reason i will never get back to siargao even with a free accommodation and everything.. want to know that reason? just prepare a booze then lets talk!! hahah

How to get there..
1. From Cebu City, take a Surigao bound ship, in our case we board Cokaliong (around 700+ econonmy fare) usually departs cebu at 7pm and arrives surigao 8am.
2. At Surigao port, ask a porter where to get fastcraft ticket for Dapa, siargao (its the gateway to the island 200 economy)
3. At Dapa port, negotiate a habal-habal or a multicab that takes you the resort (fare depends on agreement, in our case we had a pre arrange transpo)
4. A lot of resort to choose from, we opt to stay in Jade Star resort (1500 family room can accomodate upto 10 people)
5. For island activities like surfing, island hopping etc.. you may negotiate the resort owner for arrangement..

Enjoy your stay in Siargao!
